2 more questions

1) How was the installation?

2) How is your road visability at night with such a high k?

did you need different ballasts for that, or did you need any other parts for the conversion, or was this strictly just changing the bulbs? I would also be curious to find out where you bought them because I am looking to do the same thing on my lexus and with the fogs as well but that conversion looks really sweet man.

EVERYTHING COMES INCLUDED IN THE KIT. TOTAL COST W/ SHIPPING AND HANDLING WAS $349.00
INSTALLATION, I DID BY MYSELF, APPROX. 1 HOUR 10 MIN VERY EASY (PLUG AND PLAY)

THE PLACE IS CALLED GLOBAL PREMIER.....OR YOU CAN TRY globalpremier.com/hid.htm
very quick and responsive............the reason they were so inexpensive is cause those xd7 are promtional right now...1 year warranty.

the road visibilty is awesome, I love driving at night, look for every oppurtunity do drive at night, thats how awesome they are.

hoebag, I'll get back w/you on the beam pattern

THE HIDS ARE XD7 8500K VIOLET IN COLOR,. AND THEY ARE BAD A$$...THEY LOOK AWESOME IN PERSON. i THINK IT JUST MAKES THE CAR THAT MUCH CLASSIER.
I PAID $325 FOR THEM AND AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WHOLE TRANSACTION. GLOBAL PREMIER IS THE VENDOR, CHECK THEM OUT.
THEY LOOK SOOOOO GOOD I'M THINKING OF DOING AWAY WITH THE YELLOW FOGS AND GET HID ON THE FOGS
I got a chance to see another ES ('97 with the rare factory red body color) w/ the 8500K HID kit this past weekend at a CL meet in NJ. They are indeed violet in color, and look amazing in person (that's why I don't post up pics here j/k) Not sure how they look at nighttime, but the owner told me he gets flashed by others on the road

It looks great. Once u go HID, u can't go back. Though 8500k is more for looks and show, 5200k is about optimum and all factory HID setups in cars are 4800k by law. The higher the temperature the bluer/purplish it gets and it does not brighten up the road as much.

no problems yet with the new hids.
I finally got a chance to put the bulbs in right, I had them just kinda hanging there, anyway,I don't know what the beam pattern is.I just know they look sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet on the ride and so far no one has flashed me on the road.
my guess is that the beam oattern is the horizon line you sometimes see on the road when using hids.

dgot2os, what's aim? and thanks for the props, heres a few more pics

AIM = AOL Instant Messaging system (pretty popular instant messaging client used in today's computers, http://www.aim.com)

That's a great daytime shot bro. Wheels really show themselves out from the black body color, and the clear corners compliments well with the rims. It's also good you don't have the dealer pinstripe around the car. I gotta take mine off soon; it doesn't look right
