Default Changing license plate bulbs?

Anyone know how to change the bulbs above your license plate... I think mine's a '97 ES300.

I found the plastic screw, but the plastic covering doesn't come out?

Doesn't appare like anyside pops off, there's a plastic bolt that comes out but the casing seems pretty tight in place, do you know if you have to remove the pastic molding that lines the top of the trunk?

Default Here's how you do it (on the 2nd-gen ES)

Use a small flathead and carefully pry out around the outer circular plastic cover beside each of the 2 license lights, which basically holds the license plate light assembly in place with the trunk lid. As I expected, the circular pin is like the plastic clip-style screws found on the inside of the trunk covering when accessing the tailights.

Here's how it looks like in my 2001 ES300. The bulb type is 2825; it should be the same on the '97 ES.

A closer look of the license plate light itself (sorry for the blurriness)

To remove the bulb, simply unclip the electrical connector, twist/unlock the grey plastic socket which holds the bulb, and pull the wedge-based bulb out. Hope this info helps.

Push in the centre pin, and pry the plug out. The centre pin just locks the plastic bolt into the hole.
