Exclamation Very bad Engine problems

I know this have been talked about before but I just wanna make sure for my car.
I've been havin problems with starting my car in the past week n its just gettin worse.
Just a couple hours ago I started my engine n it just turned then dies. I tried again then a funny noise came up. I stopped the motor, but the motor was still on, had the key in my hand but the noise was still there.
I then popped my hood n i closed the throttle n it finally stopped.
From what I read everyone is saying that it need a new IVC. I just wanted to know if there was a recall or gotta take it to the shop.

Lightbulb Starter shut-down

Most Lexus engines are so smooth and quiet at idle that, in order to prevent inadvertant starter and engine damage by trying to start an engine that is already running, a special interlock is built in so that if you do this, it immediately shuts the engine off before the starter and flywheel teeth get ground up into confetti. Your symptoms suggest that this system may be malfunctioning and shutting down the engine needlessly after the starter has already disengaged...or otherwise activating or not activating at the wrong time. It's worth a check.
Good Luck.
