its been done. the pic is around somewhere. the mesh on the bumper doesn't work imo. i think making the grille mesh is a good idea. i bet if you cut off the slits and paint the chrome piece black to match the car, it would sort of look like a trd altezza grille.

I've got mesh in both grills of my 92.....I just sprayed them in a chrome spray but not sure if I like it yet. The top grill looks great but the bottom is a little too much, I'm still undecided. I've been thinking about going black with them. It was the first thing I did to my es, its just gutter mesh. But my bumper got distorted over the winter and bent so it looks kinda funny now, I'll post pics soon if someone wants to see, and please give me an opinion when I do, cause as I said i'm still undecided on them.

the bottom has always bothered me, I just cant figure out what to do, I still thinking painting it black might help. Guess I'll just have to try it and find out!.
edit. I'll be blacking out the headlights this summer too like yours Juan. It looks bad a$$.

el gato, I think you could get away with the mesh due to having a dark (black) car--just be sure to use black, not silver, mesh. Black mesh on a lighter car wouldn't look quite right on an ES.

thanks for the input yall, man, after seeing that white es that hoebag put up it doesn't seem like a good idea after all.
what had happend was I saw a black 03 mercedes benz one night and it had that factory BLACK mesh grille on the front and maaaan did it look awesome.
but I can clearly see how it has potential in looking tacky on my es
you gotta admit though, that avalon looks tight.
oh well, I'll just move on to something else.
(new drop coming soon)
