***URGENT: 2003 ES300 used pricing help***
Hi guys,
I usually don't post ES specific things but I just need some verification. I've started looking into used pricing for an ES300 for my Mom. I have not done a lot but a deal just came up and I wanted to make sure the pricing is good. I checked kbb, edmunds, and NADA and I get a big range. Here's the lowdown:
2003 ES300 with pretty much everything: HIDS, NAV, ML, Suspension control, sunshade, ... (more). Pretty much everything on the Lexus list. It has 25k miles though. The woman has a 100 miles commute so I can see how the mileage can rack up. There are some body blemishes that will need some retouching and curb rash on a couple of the wheels.
Bottom line: $27k.
What do you think? The deal just came up and is going down tomorrow. This is why the urgency. Although somewhat useless, I will run a carfax on the car just in case. Cheap $25 insurance.
Let me know. Thanks all.

Chris, that doesn't sound too bad for an 03. Only 25k miles? That's cake to my 23,800...soon to be 25 when I come back home from the trip. Perhaps offer 25 and go upward? Just a suggestion. Good luck!

Thanks Ryan. The car was listed at almost 30k. Our offer was 27 (and my Mom would not budge, you know those old school asian hagglers ) and the buyer eventually took it. The buyer is moving out of state this weekend so it was either ship the car or sell it to us. It was a timing thing. I think if I was looking a few weeks ago, the buyer would not have this urgency. My Mom drives between 5-10k miles a year so that 25k miles will now not grow very fast. Plus, she'll still have 2.5 more years on the original warranty. Although it is a commuter car, unless they totaly mistreated it (all maintenance at dealer ), I'm hoping it will be OK since I think the Lexus engine is still just warming up at 25k.

27 is still a killer deal for those options on a year old car. Definitely a good find! Anyways see you Saturday!

The reason the link didn't work was because of this message:
"We were unable to complete the processing of your request because:

I think that's an excellent price for that car......I know because I bought a new '03ES in March '03 for about $37K with all the equipment.

Thanks guys for the additional confirmation. I thought it was a pretty good price but I have not bought a car in a few years.
It is way more car than what my Mom wanted or needed but I thought the deal was too good to pass up. I don't think she will fully appreciate the ML or use the Nav that much since she is not that tech savvy. My brothers on the other hand were drooling over the toys that car came with. I am actually jealous (just a little ) over some of the features too since my GS is a 98.
