hey gato, your ride is tight bro ... might i make a suggestion? trust me, tein coilovers and some black powdercoated iforged wheels would finish the look of that black beauty!

back to the cut springs........but the right way

this is what I mean...........the reason oem springs wont work when you cut them is cause they dont have as many turns, thus making it unable to sit flat on bottom plate of strut..

here is a pic of the oem chopped spring ( wich I dont recommend)

notice how these aftermarket have more turns.....therefore giving it a flat stance on the strut

I'am actually very surprised that the car is rolling as smooth as it is!!! because when I had the oem cut it rode like $h%t , I think it rides very well, I guess because this springs(cut) have more turns therefore giving it a better feel. very satiesfied!!!

BEAUTIFUL! You have the lowest 2nd gen es on here, i think.

If you don't mind, could you tell us how much it would cost to cut springs? What aftermarket springs did you cut, and have you had any turning or ride problems?

Thanks!

Ben

sk8er251cc, thank you!!

I did the work myself.....I simply drove up to a shop here in dallas and handed them my 2 front coils and told them exactly where I needed it cut from....I gave the guy 20 bucks..I mean it only took him 2 minutes.

I knew exactly how much gap the megan spring was giving me in the front,,,so I measured the coil exactly another inch ana quarter.

notice here the cut coil .....that there is an inch an a quarter...to the T baby!!
