Interesting post. Complete waste of money however. I'll agree with the post that an ES300 will never be fast, its not made to be. If you want something different and unique, then rip out that engine and transaxle completely. Buy a junkyard 9" rear end, TH350 trans and find a mild GM 355. You would spend way less on that than having rig up what you're talking about, and the great thing about it, you would have 400hp with way more room to move up.
To each his own.
To each his own.

Well a TH350 transmission is set up for rwd. The point I was trying to make is to make your car fast you're gonna drop a lot of money. In reality you're way better off to buy something else. Converting your car to rwd will cause you more problems than its worth and making a fwd "fast" will cost you tons of money. However I suppose it depends on your definition of fast. If you're talking about straight line of 11 sec 1/4 mile then forget it, its not worth it. If you're talking about 15s and maybe 14's (not sure what a stock one runs) then yeah you can do it.

Yep, i agree with flip. Gotta do a full chassis rebuild and put the shell on the new chassis. No room for the new differentials and the drive shaft. A rear wheel drive Es would be pretty cool, but all this is just way too much work, not just building it, but keeping it running. It's just one of those mods that you dont want to touch. Just like how most ASE guys will tell you that it's easier to switch out the turbo on an already turboed engine cuz the engine was meant for that kind of compression.

Hey I'm new here but not to the platofrm. There shouldnt be an ECU issue on the ES. The EBC that comes with kit is there to kill boost on the 1st and 2nd gears. This is to save the tranny.
So technically any 1MZ FE w/ non vvti and single throttle body inlet could use the TRD SC.
Of course I dont own an ES,I own a SC Camry. But I would love to see a TRD SC ES ! The TRD SC kit is one of the cheapest FI kits for any car I've seen with a warranty (about $2800). It would be cool as ***** to see a boosted ES. Why ? Becuase, who would ever suspect it. More of a sleeper then mine ...![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
And about the money factor... has anybody seen a cheap FI kit for any car ??
