Looking for some nice 18's.......please vote!!
Alright guys, so I was out with my mom the other day test driving cars, which means I'm that much closer to getting her ES!!! She's looking at the G35x, TL and ES330, but that's besides the point. I've already had a subenclosure built for the ES and now I'm doing a little shopping on the wheel market. I'm looking for 18's, and it's gotta be chrome!! I've picked out a few wheels and as you can surely tell, they all look quite similar so I think its obvious the look I want; all I really have left to decide is how much I want to spend. If some of these wheels are POS's, please let me know!!!! Everyone's opinion is greatly appreciated!!!
Option # 1: Helo "Spec" - 18 x 7.5, costs around 1500 with a decent tire on it.
-------------
Option # 2: Diablo "Vienna" - 18 x 7.5, about $1700 depending on tire options.
-------------
Option # 3: Enkei "LM 3/5L" - 18 x 8.5 (with a "perfect" offset of 42mm), one of the more expensive options, coming in around $2600 or so. (Also, if anyone knows of better pricing, let me know!!)
-------------
Option # 4: L Sportline "Model 3" - 18 x 8.5......and ****ing expensive!! I'm seeing 3000 right now although I know I have seen them for less than that somewhere, but holy ****!! In all honesty, I don't really have any desire to spend that much $$ as I'm from Canada and have to deal with the exchange rate!
-------------
Option # 5: Katana "Spazio" - Katana's are decent aren't they? $$1500?? nice!
------------
So, there you go! Check them out and take your pick! Money is a bit of an issue as I wanna spend money on a system as well but your opinions are most appreciated. Tire recommendations are appreciated as well!!

again, I am fairly new to all this kind of ****, so what's going to be the primary difference between something like an Enkei or L-Sportline, and these so-called knock-offs? The prices obviously look much more attractive on the Katana for example but if I'm going to make a SIGNIFICANT sacrifice in quality then I agree, it's not worth it; better to do it right the first time.

theres somewhat a difference in quality, but when youre dealing with anything.. its always name brand vs off brand... for example would you rather buy some nike shoes for $100 or some payless look alikes for $40.. it really depends on you and what you want to do

makes enough sense I suppose.....originally I was looking at the Lowenhart LD1 but was freaked right out when I saw the price as I'd be looking at almost 5000 Canadian by the time I got the damn things here!! It's certainly pretty easy to look at those Helo's/Diablo's and Katana's to see where they stole their design from........I've never really been one to pass up buying a name-brand so the question is, do I start with my car? Who know's!!!
Hoe, you mention only the L-Sportline's as being a decent choice....why not the Enkei's??
