Default Hood Shocks...

Where can I find hood shocks for a 94 ES300 besides the dealership ($80 each)? I tried Autozone and Advance but had no luck.

Try preferred ClubLexus vendor Carson Toyota/Lexus Parts. Ask for Bobby in parts. Tell him you're from CL. 800-90-TOYOTA.

I'm not interested in junkyard parts, too risky and I would rather stay away from dealerships if at all possible, I do not have a high opinion of most. Tom Williams Lexus in Birmingham, AL wanted $267 to install hood shocks. Parts were $80 per shock.

Well i'm sorry you feel that way about dealerships. This particular dealership is a ClubLexus preferred vendor...and there is a reason for it. Sounds like you're out of options.

go back to the Autozone or Advance and look for the supports for a 94 Camry. They will be either Stong Arm brand or Mightly Lift. You will have to do a minor modification to one end of each hood support to get it to fit in the ES. Very simple and only requires a drill. You should be able pick up a pair for ~$80.

if the DIY stuff doesn't suit you, then call Carson and get the specific Lexus application.

you can also try www.irontoad.com and www.lexus-parts.com
