I remember clearly that all the outside lights goes off when I turn the ignition off. Last night..everything stayed on even with the ignition off..is there a switch somewhere to make it go back the it was? My wife has a habit of leaving the lights on so its better for the lights to go off when she turns off the car. Thanks.

I think that the lights go off when the drivers door is opened after the ignition is turned off. Hope this helps.

your not an idiot, most cars dont have this feature. I love it, I just leave my lights on all the time, especially since day time running lights are an insurance discount.

 

Well, not exactly. If the trunk is opened before you open the drivers door - the headlights stay on until the battery is dead! I suspect that opening any door before the drivers door will kill the "auto-headlights" feature.
