Question 2005 ES330 Price?

I've been a regular 'reader' on this board for sometime, and I finally decided to buy a 2005 ES330. THe model I'm looking to buy will be one w/ ML & Navi model. Total MSRP according to Lexus site is around 39xxx.00. Since it's a 05 model and I dont't expect to have as big of a price break as the 04 model (heard the 04 is going for 4000+ discounts...same as the 04 GS) .. But I like the projector headlights, the new tail lights...ventilated seats etc on the new 05 ES. Just wondering if any of you guys can have a suggestion / idea on what kind of a price I should expect to pay for the vehicle?

thx in advance.

The ES traditionally has sold well (along with the RX)....but supply on the dealer lots has usually been adequate to meet demand. Three or four percent over invoice would be reasonable....minus the tax, processing fee (if applicable), tags, and accessories, of course.

I just purchased one for $1K over invoice. This was about $1K more than I could have purchased a 2004 model. This was pretty much the same as the carsdirect.com price.

The internet and email is a great tool to get the area dealers to give you quotes. The dealer closes to my home wanted $3.5K over invoice and suggested that other dealers who wanted to sell for less were unethical. I wanted to give them my business and would have paid them a small premium (say $500), but not $2.5K.

I just purchased an 05' es it has the nav but not the ml. the sticker was asking for 36,600 but i sent an e-mail to lexus internet sales and they knocked almost 2,000 off the price. If your serious about buying go to lexus internet sales and they will give you a much better deal than walking in there and talking to a salesman.

I just got my 04 ES with Mark Levinson Audio. paid $33914 .$4600 belwo the MSRP. I got quote for 05 ES basic Navigation about $2500 below the MSRP. So if you could wait for a few months you could get about $1000 above the invoice.

When you purchase car through Lexus internet sales, what do I do? How I get there and what should I say...should I try to negotiate or do they give you the rock bottom price? Thanks.

What I did was:
1. I went to Lexus website to see the option package available. Lexus options are in package you can't just get navigation system without HID, heater seats. ...
2. I print out a copy of carsdirect.com price per option pakcages.
3. I went to kelly's blue book kbb.com and edmunds.com to ask quote thru their website.
4. You will get phone call or email from the Lexus dealer. Then you could email them to negiotiate the price between dealers to get the best deal you could get. Some will get you the best price they could get you the 1st time some will try to match it. Since we were looking for 04 not many 04 left and wife got to have certain color so we ended up paying $300 more from the 2nd lowest dealer then the lowest price dealer.
5. Also toward the month end you typical get better deal.
Good luck.

You are welcome! I requested the quote to autoland thru my credit union. Autoland called me while I was in a meeting. Their consultant was supposed to call me but they never did. It only took me less than 2 weeks from request the quote to pick up our car. Keep in mind when you go to website to get invoice price, not all the web site update their daily so for option packages it might give you some minor difference. For instance for 05. Some of them don't have the wheel lock, cargo net and mats as option some may do it twice as each piece then add on as option too.

on the search bar type in the name of your city and then lexus i.e. "Sacramento Lexus" then it should pull up all the lexus dealerships in your area. then get a quote from all of them. pick the lowest quote then go and shop them to see if they are worth buying from. thats what i did and i got almost 2000 off of the msrp.

If you're in California...particularly in SoCal, PM myself or Rominl for info if you're shopping for an ES.
