Default My recent mods (pics)

Well, I've been busy lately.. Here is the first round of pics.. My new wood interior. I actually installed it a while ago, but I just got around to getting some pics. It looks great in person. Enjoy

I haven't seen any other kits with the key hole wood piece.. This one also came with pieces for the overhead consoles (lights, etc) but I didnt get a good pic of them.. I could probably take more if anyone wants to see.

Self explanitory

Sweet wood trim Hitman, I can see you went way beyond what the Coach Edition ES would give you All you need now is the wood steering wheel, and I think that will complete the package

I really like it too.. The wood steering wheel would be really nice.. perhaps in the future. Good thing is, in person the leather steering wheel doesnt stick out as much as it does in the pics. But it is definitly missing that wood wheel, and so am I

The wood trim looks very good. I want to do the same for my '96 ES as well.

This is just an idea I'm throwing out (don't take it too seriously), but maybe you might want to look into the OEM wood steering wheel from a '98-'00 LS or '01 ES (like mine), as the steering wheel looks relatively the same as on that from the '96 ES. The airbag cover looks slightly different though (the '96 has the 'L' on top of the airbag line, and the '01 has the 'L' in the middle of the airbag line). Still, if you wanna look more into it, you may want to get in touch with a Lexus parts dept and find out if the wood wheel and airbag can be retrofitted into your '96 ES w/out any problems. Again, just an idea..
