Heya guys, I finally got around to typing this all up:

Interesting notes: gas is really expensive!
I'll try to isolate the times when I was driving all highway miles and figure out those MPG numbers.
Overall, I'm pleased... 23.8mpg for a 7 year old car, highway+city mix. 25 would be ideal, but...

Very nice spreadsheet/write up. yes gas does add up. Imagine calculating 7 more months of it.

Excellent idea of tracking the mileage on your ES ![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
I do the same on mine; I keep a small notepad in which I jot down the dates of my fill-ups, price of the fuel and total cost paid (as well as the number of miles driven per trip). I go through an average of one fill-up per week (two if I do extra driving on a weekend), and I'd say the average MPG obtained on my '01 ES is in the range of 23.0 to 23.5 (mostly city-to-city surface driving). No complaints at all

I've been doing that since day 1. I'll have to post it for those considering the ES as a commuter.
It's great to see the effects that fuel grades and driving style has on mpg.
