Default cheap ram air

I was replacing turn bulb on drivers side headlight today. I had the light assembly out and drove it to parts store for bulb.

With the drivers light assembly removed the air inlet for airbox gets force fed cold air. I could really feel a diff in power!

Or you could put your headlight back on and run and aircompressor Full time to your intake tube.

OR-Woogie could sit on the hood and blow air in the inlet whenever I hit the gas-But then that would be HOTAIR!

Are you trying to say that was a serious suggestion?

You felt nothing -- have you seen the size of the stock silencer? No air can get pushed through there at all.

you are wrong buddy. I don't know about your 92, but my 95 has about a 4or 5 inch long and about 2inch thick inlet behind the headlight-aimed right into the front of car. I've owned this car for 4 years, I know when there is a change!

You do realize that you have to also be going at least 80mph to really feel the effect of ram air right?

Your trying to say a 35mph direct air stream blowing into air inlet is no better than an air inlet hidden behind a headlight/not to mention the cool air coming in instead of hot engine compartment air. I'm telling ya, I could tell it was running a touch quicker

Why you trying to **** on my wheaties anyway, I am just telling it like it is. Besides I am not still driving around with my headlight out.

If I want power I just drive my GS430

I agree with mcelligot. There's no way you can feel a difference in performance by taking your headlight out and calling it a ram air intake. Change in numbers, very little change on the dyno maybe, but as far as driving around and calling it COOL... yeah, i dont think so. if you like it so much, then you should drive around with one headlight.

I never said my es was that cool-It's my wifes NICE car. Now my GS430, however IS COOL AND FASTER THAN YOUR ES!
Anyway-What do I have to gain by making this statement. Just posting my finding. All I did was drive it to Auto Zone like that to get a bulb, then put it back together. If you don't like it or believe me then get Bent-I don't care.
