it just crossed my mind, but when i was over my mechanic friends shop he was swapping engines on a v6 camry 90 or so, but there was a precat in the wrap around from the 2 banks then it went into 1 bank for the exhaust, like a U into a Y so it would go into one single pipe for the exhaust but. anywho i dunno if thats the same kinda setup?

That y pipe shaped like a U is the same design found on 1MZ-FE and 3MZ-FE V6 exhaust setups. Yes there are pre cats for both banks so in essence you have a 3 cat setup with the flex piping and etc for emission purposes.

it is also in the newer es's i saw it in a 97 the other day so.......people always want to go faster and more power yet why does'nt anyone gut these out and get more power???

im sure it would be good for a good 12hp around 10tq easily? why not do it? prob only takes about 1 or 2 hours max
