Probably because this is a 7 year old thread.

In 2004, I could've seen this as cool - but really it makes the interiors look like cheap pos'

Yeah now days it looks super cheap and American made in my opinion.

Don't know if you have seen the earlier generation GM luxury cars like Buick and Cadillac. There interior quality literally feels like it was just slapped on like these kits.

Are you only talking about the quality of the kit in question? Or are you talking about wood grain in general?

Both. The wood grain quality on GM cars is very cheap compared to my Lexus'. On the older Lexus ES interiors and others w/o wood grain it's so obvious when someone does at it.

Okay... I misinterpreted what you meant, I thought you were saying wood grain is cheap(like in any car). I was going to strongly disagree with you. Seeing as pretty much every luxury car comes with wood Lexus to Bmw to Bentlys.

Yikes! No I LOVE wood grain. I wouldn't trade my dark beechwood cherry in my ES for anything.

However I will say I don't like the new matte finish that toyotas, infinitis, and bmw now use.
