Has any one had to change out a dash light behind the speedometer yet?

Looks impossible to get up there from below the dash. Does the instrument panel
pod pop out to get at the bulbs?

Thanks for info,
JU

I have, yes its me Alvin, I love elecrical work and
have taken almost everything apart in me lexus
ES 300 1993
This is how you do it

There are two screws at the top of the speedometer
section. These screws are covered with a plastic door.Pry open the door, the screws are under

the speedometer section pulls out. You will
have to remove a cable clip that powers the
trip computer bottons.

you will now be able to see the back side of the
speedometer and where the lights are pluged in..
take your time. You can get the bubls at Lexus for
$4.00. each ask for a deal, they will give you a break
on the price.

If you let them do this it cost about $100.

Default bulbs?

hey Alvin, do think the panel behind will pop out like that on a LS 400. if so can you replace the original bulb with a colored bulb behind the panel to give my speedomotor a unique look?
