'Lexus brand oil' is just repackaged 'dino' or conventional oil.....in this case, it is supplied by Mobil. It's cheaper to get it at a auto parts store or Walmart. I use Mobil 1 5W 30 Synthetic personally as I like the added protection synthetic oil offers, especially in extreme cold temperatures like we have in Canada in the winter. The dealer will probably be more expensive than the other locations I mentioned to purchase there just to have the "Toyota or Lexus" label on the bottle......Lexus & Toyota do not make engine oil.

My above post quotes what LEXUS.COM said the part number..... 00279-1QT5W-LX = 5W-30...to be Mobil's part number for Mobil 1Super Syn synthetic with Lexus name on the bottle. This particular part Mobil part number is not Dino oil. Check it out. The other viscosity oils listed in the same post on LEXUS.COM shows them to be Mobil Dino Oil with Mobil part numbers.
I know that Lexus and Toyota and GM and Ford and Chrysler, etc., do not refine engine oil.

I also use Mobil 1 in both our Lexus vehicles and have used it for over twenty five years in other brand vehicles.
