Default Don't let friends drive your car

My friend borrowed my car and brought it back. I looked at it today and noticed that the wheel was cambered way too far inward. WTF??? I took off the wheel and it appears the shock is bent. It looks like he hit a curb since my rims are scuffed too. I plan on getting it fixed, but my question is should I be driving it at all? I need to get to school and it will be a little while before I can get it fixed. Also if I'm going to get new shocks and struts I'm thinking of putting some aftermarket ones on to lower it. Any ideas as to where I can find some? Thanks

Did you mention this to your friend who you lent the car too? Perhaps he should be footing the bills for repairs. Sound like your alignment is all messed you to boot.

Yes I did, I told him he's going to have to pay. I'm just wondering if its ok to drive in the meantime and if I wanted to get aftermarket suspension, where I can get it.

You think it is just the alignment? I took the wheel off and looked and felt the shock, it felt like it had a slight bend on the lower portion.

if you're in the market for the KYB struts/Eibach springs setup for the 95ES,

www.ajusa.com has competitive prices for the KYB but best part is no tax outside CA and FREE shipping

also, check out www.tirerack.com

I have these suspensions waiting for installation as soon as i get off shift. I'm also changing out the strut mounts but that's up to you.

How is it driving now after the damage? Do you feel any shaking, pulling, wobbling? If it feels rather normal despite the damage then I would recommend driving it to a shop (i.e., Sears Auto, tire shop, your personal mechanic) and have them do a free suspension and wheel check. Also, get estimates for suspensions while you're there.

When I turn left there is a very loud metal on metal grinding noise. The car also pulls very heavily to the left as the wheel is bent inward and to the left.
