I remember this coming up before in the Sc forum but my es seems to have
a slight loss in power when the brakes pedal is pressed down...
Nothing major bu i notice that for a brief moment the lights get a lil' dimmer
and the rpms drop about 150 or so....
Is this an indicator of an alternator or battery issue??

When you apply the brakes it puts an extra load on the battery, and the alternator tries to replace the current. This load will slow the engine RPM slightly. A battery that is kinda old will show this dimming more then a new battery. If you're really concerned about this, you can have the battery "load tested". Sears will do this test for you free.

Thanks for the info... I was thinking it might be related to the battery..

keep an eye on your alternator also. I just replaced mine because i had that problem and also when i hit the gas the lights would really increase in brightness.
