I am considering the purchase of the 2005 ES330 with voice-activated Navigation. Unfortunately, the sales person didn't know much about the voice-activation aspect of it, but I did test the Nav system itself. Can the ES330 owners comment on the voice-recognition functionality? For example, can I pre-program an address and link it to the wod "Home", so that I can then speak it to the microphone? I searched this forum and I didn't find much information.

Perhaps someone has a link to the user manual section of it -- that would be ideal.

I guess I was asking about assigning custom voice tags to destinations. For example, enter the address, say "John Smith", and have it memorized as a destination which can later be recalled by just saying "John Smith". Is there such a function in any Lexus' Nav system?

You can pre-program favorites like friends, or your own home. Or, you can say "Fast Food" or "Mexican Food" etc and it will show you the icons in your area. What's nice is that as long as you have the updated DVD, it lists phone numbers for that business.
