manlee, does the noise occur when it is cold outside? If so, then don't worry about it. I believe it's attributed to the density of the P/S fluid. It's usually thick when the outside temperature is pretty cold, hence causing the "whining" noise when turning your steering wheel.

no if it like mine it is inside of the cabin, and inside of te actual steering wheel casing. it like a metal to metal sound but stops when warmed up.

I had the squeaking sounds when I turned my wheel, I think my dealer said it was the lubricant on a rubber boot that was dry so they just lubed it up and its gone.

I used to get it done for free when the car was still under warranty. The last time I did it, the warranty was over and it cost $52.25 for Labor only. Lube was free.

This is what was on my receipt.

I have the same thing going on. It doesn't happen in the summer time though. It is a bit embarrasing, but I just go heavy on the bass when parrallel parking

Default Thanks!

I might just try to DIY when the weather warms up. Mine is rather annoying since I have to make 20+ turns to get to my parking space in the garage.

Thanks for everyone's help.

Check P/S fluid or check the hose, there might be a leak somewhere. I had the same problem and I change the hose and it stopped making the noise.
