Hey all, again I must say great site you have going here. I am happy to be apart of it. After many hours of research I find there isn't a heck of a lot I can do to my 96 ES performance wise. I am guessing the ES is supposed to be just luxury oriented... So here are a few ideas I have that I would like to try. I am sure some or all of you have been here, so I ask you leave a comment with each idea I have, along with why you would or wouldn't make the modification. Thanx!
*K&N air filter (no aftermarket intakes available???)
*Larger wheels (16s or 17s any suggestions?)
*Those low profile tires (from the side they look thin)
*Better exhaust system (Will help w/o engine mods?)
*Nice dark tinted Windows (NJ law prohibits front tints!)
*Any other ideas???

ramsee1,
Here is my recommandations.
1. 17" wheels. The offsets in the rear is important because there is very little room in the back for anything larger then 245's. But I found theres tons of room for the front.
2. Lowering, Eibach make springs for the ES that drops the car 1" front and back.
3. Definitely tint windows. Not only it helps block UV ray from the sun it also make the car look very nice. Every car I owned have tinted windows.
4. The last thing I recommand is a TRD supercharger. Although it is made for camary and Solara, but it is based on the same exact engine so with a little customization it SHOULD fit. ( a call to RMM should confirm weather or not it will fit.)
Have fun modding you car

Here is the link.
www.trdusa.com
I think www.Rodmillen.com sells them but I haven't checked their site for a while. RMM specializes in Toyota and Lexus tuning, they have just about any quality Lex and Toyota mods available.
Imagine a Camary killing an Integra and Civic manuals...the faces of those rice drivers in the rearview mirror are priceless.

thanks for the info. I went to TRD and they said there's nothing available. I am waiting for RM to get back to me. I saw they had an ECU upgrade... I am guessing that changes the governor on my computer or something of the like.
