i must have some kind of electric issue, because when i press the brake the headlights dim just a bit and go back to normal when i release the brake. probably a problem from the fact that it was a red tag right?

thats not really a big problem. You battery may be a little weak and old, or your alternator isnt putting out enough. get it tested. if its just a slight dim that your noticing... its probably not even a big deal

I have a yellow top Optima battery and my lights still dim. At the battery, I have a 1/0 guage ground to chasis. Then I have a 4 guage ground from battery to the engine. And another 4 guage from engine to firewall. And the lights still frickin dim when I roll up two windows at a time....or hit the brakes. The stereo will of course also dim the lights. That is why my next audio upgrade is an HO alternator. Hoefully I can find an inexpensive one vs getting my old one rewound. Hope this helps.
