Stearing Wheel Shaking??
My steering wheel for some reason shakes a little around 60Mph and above and some times when I break, not hard break just regular breaking. Does anyone know why this is? Also just took my car in for an oil change at Lexus dealer was told that my rear rotors are rusting and rear breaks have 40% life left. Service to change and take off rust will be $350. How much are new rotors and is that the problem for my shaking? I can change that pads by myself not sure about rusting.

mine shakes, i had my brake pads changed out, alignment, and wheel balancing.. still shakes when i drive and when i brake.. could be from warped rotors, but it wouldnt explain why it shakes when i drive

Have your rotors resurfaced, and rebalance your wheels on a good hi-speed wheel balancer.
If your rotors don't have enough metal left, then you'll need to get new rotors. The rusting is very common, and is removed by the first application of the brakes after the car has not been used for awhile.

Mine shakes like hell too... Diagnosed by Lexus service here on Guam to be "sticky" calipers paired with warped rotors. Calipers were $400 each new, luckily I was able to get a pair of used ones from aliga for $100. Still waiting for my order of new rotors/pads from Tirerack.

Possibilities...
A. Warped rotors - go to a local shop and see if they can slap your rotors on the brake lathe and resurface them. if your rotors are too thin then you have to replace
B. Wheel balance - go to a les schwab or a tire shop, they'll put your car up, take off the wheels, put it in the balancing machine and put weights on the wheels as needed.
C. Alignment - steering components need to be realigned and recalibrated.
D. Bad tires - It sounds like an unlikely problem, but be sure to check your tires. weird wear can mess with your steering... or even a busted belt inside your tire.

Also, check your motor mounts, I had a serious wobble at 60mph, my front engine mounts were hanging on by one bolt on top, the three going to the frame were missing. The torque strut rod was rotted out too.
