Your needles will still fire yellow regardless, but this is a great chance to jump in since this GB is fully functional with your clusters.

To put this GB in perspective for the '92-'96 owners, your cluster backlighting will resemble like that in the factory cluster of the '97-'01 ES. A very true white color
C'mon guys, help out with the GB. This is going to run for only 7 days!

Is this for real???
I got a quote of $686 + 2 hours labor ($105/hr) to replace the instrument cluster!
Is this a DIY kinda deal or do I need to be a guru? My speedo needle is dead, backlighting dim in a few spots, fuel needle half dead....I'm all over it!

Its not bad that your speedometer is dead because your not adding any miles to the odometer. I never look at my speedometer anyway, just go the same speed as everyone else and you should be fine.

All you do to participate with LLS conversions is follow the instruction in the shipping link on the GB. We keep them 3 to 5 days depending on the load, usually it is a 3 day load.
The "16" pure white LED backlighting works better on the ES and GS than the Sc's even due to the spreaders in the clusters being wider apart, we can fire the light in tons more directions and achieve a brighter response.

So, this GB is for ES backlighting only? My needles are fading in some spots, especially when I turn up the brightness of the cluster so I would like to get that fixed as well. Anyway you can fix that too? Either way I'm in for the GB. Thanks!!

As someone who's cluster is being retrofitted with the 32white with blue needles....i can tell you that the car is driveable just dont go on a road trip. There are some definate differences in the way the car runs(shift points and idle are the most noticeable) but the car will run. After seeing those images i cant wait to get mine back.

ok so here is the quickest way.
(on es300 96)
on the black surround there are two hinged clips that open to reveal 2 phillips screws. Once those are out. Pull the surround out towards you. unplugging the dimmer and odometer buttons.
Next using a magnetic tip. unscrew the 4 screws holding the holding the whole unit in the dash. Once that is out,.....CAREFULLY remove the cluster and unplug the main connectors from the back. This should free up the cluster. Your done at that point.
