Default Need Advice for New Brakes '94 ES300

My front rotors need to be turned and the pads replaced. Should I buy the parts online (please be specific) and then take it to the Dealership? Or should I have a local mechanic do it. I won't the same brakes or similar to what I have now.

Thanks,

JD

You can get OEM brake pads from this Lexus dealer online and save some bucks, rather then buying them from your local Lexus dealer.
Check this out>> http://www.lexus-parts.com/partlist....=52&ModelID=50
It's a fairly simple job, so your local mechanic can install them.

This biggest question is do you want an OEM-type setup or aftermarket? For about $475 I ordered Rotora slotted rotor's F+R and Akebono Ceramics F+R. Streetbeatcustoms.com and tirerack.com helped me out.

If you were happy with the OEM brakes before, then stick with them. They give the best balance between long wear and good pedal pressure to stop the car. I think that the Lexus engineers that designed the system knows what they're doing.
