Do you know of it ever being done before? Any information would be appreciated, as I would like to do this to my car in the near future.

the v8 from an sc400 or gs400 wouldnt probably work, but youd have to get a few things custom fabricated like mounts and what not.. im sure it can be done, but it would be lots of $$

Not worth it unless it is to you. Plan on spending double of what your car's current value is.

I think there's room to put a V8 in, but i think it's a matter of drivetrain.

I talked to a shop who said a rebuilt V6 would be $2,000, but if your telling me that it would cost $45,000 to fit a V8 and make the neccessary mods then your right - it's NOT worth it.

See my issue is, my car drives like a dream, however the engine is starting to really burn through oil. Every 700 miles I'm filling it back up again, and am about to replace the engine. I just thought a car that light would be loads of fun with a V8 under the hood.
