Ever had problem with remote entry?
Hey guys! First of all, let me say I've been lurking unseen for several months now and have really enjoyed your forum here!
OK, here's the particulars: I recently bought a 1996 Lexus ES 300 coach edition, diamond white pearl w/ silver cladding and tan leather... of course, it's got the heated seats and remote keyless entry. Sweeeet ride. I'm the second owner, and it had 116,000 miles on it.
Well, today, my keyless entry failed to work a few times, and I replaced the battery in the key the first week I bought the car (just a couple weeks ago). What's more, after the remote entry failed to work and I opened the driver's side door by inserting the key, I then tried to open the remaining doors for my passenger by flicking the door lock switch on the control panel; it wouldn't activate the locks! I had to lean across the cockpit and manually flip the lock switch on the door.
Later tonight, I got it to sporadically work, but most of the time this afternoon/evening, it hasn't.
Anyone have any experience with an issue such as this? It almost appears to be something wrong in the electrical department...
Thanks a million for your help!!
