1995 ES 300 Egr Value Problems Read Please
hello every one
my engine check light is on and the code i got is this
PO401 code
is this the MODULATOR i have to charge or the EGR VALVE
i dont know which one
on the modulator (lowest price i found is $51.21)
but if its the egr valve that cost around $116
which one i need to change please let me know so i can buy it before my deadline for smog is Due

Even though I have a GS , I can relate. First thing to do is replace the egr valve which is the 51.21. It's the cap which has all the hoses plugged into it. I'm pretty sure your egr valve is dirty or possibly worn out and therefore you need to replace it.
After I replaced the car, no more check engine light.
