shocks and struts

Your ES has struts. They usually need replacement around 75k or later. It all depends on your driving style/habits. If the ride is bouncy, there's a good chance your struts are worn. When you have your vehicle on a rack, remove the wheels and inspect the struts, if they're showing ANY sign of fluid leakage, it's time to replace them.

$480 total rebate? Doesn't sound right.

I haven't heard anything about the Sensa-Monroe struts from Sears. Not sure about their quality. I'd go with KYB if you want to keep close to stock handling or Tokico for a more aggressive setup. Either one is a superb strut.
