there is no such things as airstruts I could have sworn I installed them on my ride
should I find the thread or send you off to learn about susp mods.

Your misconception about GC and knowledge shows you aint ready for a LEX

Air springs, not air struts.

You are right, I'm not ready to slam a Lexus to the ground, I'm in market for a 993.

Not picking on you WIMPWGN, but please stay on topic and discuss about practical lowering options for the ES. After all, this is what this thread's all about, and it doesn't help much at all if you provide information about suspension components you haven't researched much nor experienced yet. GATO has been through many different phases of sizing up the ES's suspension, and has been an extremely helpful resource by supplying feedback, numbers, specifications and pics. Please consider this and research before you put up your next post.

Thanks for listening.

Wait, why am I not on topic? I provided very detailed information in my earlier posts. Maybe you should take a look? If you still believe that my suggestions are BS, then I'm not returning to this forum again.

Regarding researching before posting, just letting you know I did go to Rsport website, looked at the specs, and realized that 9f/5r is very stiff. Since you are a mod, I assume you know that too. Later, Gato mentioned that his ride is plush, then something is wrong here. Either the manufacturer provided incorrect data, or gato isn't telling the truth. I'm not defaming anyone, including gato, I'm simplying pointing out what I observed.

Not true. Canovers, Air Runner, Air bomber are all AIR STRUT suspension components. you are really showing your inexperience and lack of overall car knowledge. I have NEVER heard somebody tell someone that coilovers are stupid, then say that you should get a ground controll coilover sleve. Im still not sure your joking.

Gato, Juan, and Hoebag are right- dont go the spring strut route- you will regret not having adjustability. It is not going to shake and rattle your fillings out- there is a REASON THAT THEY ARE ADJUSTABLE!

WIMPWGN, while we value your opinion- its worthless in this thread- you have got to be kidding- Ground Controll

I'm currently driving a 2000 es300 and have it dropped on tanabe sustec df210 springs with stock shocks.. its a 1.8 drop in the front and a 1.2 in the back but once it breaks in, its about 2 and 1.5, so the gap in the front wheel well is considerably smaller. I can barely fit 2 fingers in the front and 2 in the back so its a really nice drop. The ride is next to stock except that it does handle better when turning. I got these springs for a really good deal, but If i had the money, id just go for a JIC coilover set, which i will soon. i don't mind the adjustability so the springs work just fine for me. hope this information helps. and hoebag, what suspension are you running on your ES?
