ES Performance chip??
I saw ad (JET- Performance Chip Program Consumer Box ) here for performance chip deal for a 96 es. Cost about $350; anyone have experience with this product? How much more power?
Will it hurt the motor or convertor or trans? Looks like it's not a simple replacement, that the vender hacks in a new chip.

are the only things you can do with the stock ECU.
SMT does the most, for no more cost.

Woah, we can put one of timing controller things in our car? I saw a show on TV the other day where they added something similar to a diesal truck and shaved 3 seconds off the quarter-mile time. The 0-60 time saw huge increases also.

I saw most of it. They just jacked into the factory harness with an adapter like some do to their radios and it had 5 speed modes.
I just looked up the SMT thing, its from perfectpower.com
