what does a tune up consist of exactly? and on a 94 es are the spark plugs easily accessable or should i go to a pro? and how much would a pro or a dealer charge for it? thanks alot for any feedback

A major tune up consists of replacing spark plugs (Platinum or Iridium), air filter, fuel filter, PCV valve, spark plug wires & perhaps a throttle body cleaning. The rear 3 spark plugs are a pain in the butt from what I have been told, so you might want to get your mechanic to perform this task. Good Luck! LexusFreak is Right about the rear spark plug wires.. it's a Pain in the ***.. make sure you pull it by the BOOT and never by the WIRE... or buy yourself a tool that can handle it.. you don't really need a pro to change spark plugs and wires.. but be very careful .
