i want to turn off power antenna
i want to stop the antenna motor from going on when i turn my radio on and off, cause the motor runs but the antenna doesnt move so what can i unplug to stop that from activating and where is it, thanks alots

What year do you have?
On a 92-96 ES (and probably others), there is a relay in your trunk that can disable this. Pull aside the trunk liner on the side of your antenna. The relay should be below the motor assembly mount. It is a red-brown block about 2" or 3" square with a group of wires leading into it's cable block. Disconnect it from the wires, and that should do the trick. Do not lose this relay in case you ever sell the car or change your mind.
Fixing the antenna is not too big a deal, you can buy a new anteanna that has the plastic, geared cable inside it. Search my userid for an old thread that has a link on the procedure.
If you leave your antenna up all the time, you will probably bend it somehow. The car wash is a personal favorite of mine.

there are 3 wires.
ground
power up
power down
just play with which power is connected. You should leave the powering option though. When you wash your car i recommed that you have it retract. Also during heavy snow/ice storms here in CO i make sure i dont have it up.
