Hey...what up fellas! Im looking at buyin my moms Lexus ES 300 and I just wanted to know if there is anything I should be looking for in the way of problems. The only real problem the car has right now would be the Tach red lights as they are starting to go out. The car has 106,000 miles on it and is in great condition. I would be buyin the car for $7,000 with a new set of tires. Thanks for any info!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Lexus dependability! I have the same year and model with 80,000 miles. The only thing that I would do is make sure the timing belt is good. These cars last forever with standard care. If you ever do experience problems this is the place to come first. These people will do their best to help you out.

Listen 2 Brando. The T-belt should be replaced between 60-90K. If it hasn't been changed do it know. And make sure whoever does it replaces the waterpump & tensioner/idler pullies too.
