Default Steering Wheel

Does anyone know what other lexus steering wheels fit the 97-99 series ES?

Or the general costs of re-stitching the outer rim of a wheel?

Would that include the air bag assembly as well?

All I need is the outer assembly the driver holds onto.

The top of that piece has ripped leather from the former owner, and I've gotten sick of the steering wheel cover I'd kept on it for so long.

Then I'd read about certain people switching airbags with other Lexus models, and was interested in this but didn't find much.

But I wouldn't mind having my wheel restitched either.

The only thing I'd really have replaced would be the part the driver holds. The airbag and everything else is totally fine.

Well the cheapest alternative would be the pick up a used steering wheel...the lexus forum has quite a few listings of people parting out their cars...infact I recall somebody parting out a 98 ES a while back that had been wrecked. The airbag is a goner for sure but nothing is wrong with the outer rim during a 'normal' accident.

The next alternative is to get it re-stitched or even converted to wood. I recently swapped my stock black for an 01 wooden steering wheel.
