Hi all. This is my first time on this forum. Anybody figure out a way to remove the yellow portion from the front signals of a 97-01 ES? I have an extra one and I was gonna try to heat it up & take it apart 2morrow, but figured I'd ask first.

Default Clearing the lights

Welcome to the forum.

Check further down in the post "clearing the lights". It contains a detailed description with pictures on how to do the procedure.

Yeah, I saw that post. Only prob is thats for the last gen. ES. I took a close look at the lens 2day. It seems that the 2 peices were heated and melted 2gether - no glue. Anyone know if clears are available aftermarket?

Hi, lobo and I are the ones that clear out headlights for the 92-96 ES300. Did you say that you had an extra light? If so let me check around and take a look at some 97 es300's and I will tell you how similar the lights are and if the instructions we posted will apply to your head lights, and if so try it out if you have an extra head light. I'm pretty sure you can use the same instructions though, and they probably aren't glued in, they are just wedged in once the housing is opened the will come lose and you can remove them.

The corner lenses are separate from the headlamp. After taking a close look I discovered there not glued together. It looks like there melted 2-gether. I think I'm gonna have 2 go aftermarket. Let me know if you come across a company that makes them. I know there out there cause I've seen them on an ES. Thanks 4 all the input!

Default if I were you,

I would take the GS400 sig out instead of clearing the turn.

I took too much space on the page and hurts my eyes as I scroll down, it is ugly GS400 model picture anyway, it down grade the GS400.

... or change a better sig pic.

Chrislee8:

I drive a 1997 SE and if your referring to the Liberty State Park meet, yes I was there. I'm sorry my sig hurts your eyes. In the future you might want to think about making suggestions privately. I posted this thread to ask about corner lights, not to receive snide comments. Besides, as far as hurting the eyes goes, your post leaves much to be desired "I took to much space""It is ugly GS400""It down grade the GS". I joined this club figuring maybe I could help some Lexus owners out, being that I know the cars pretty well. I did not join to be ridiculed!

No prob. I have the same name on org. Maximus75. You probably saw me. My max is the only one with squirters on the bumper for the headlights. I put them on because the snow wasn't melting off my lights. I just through them in but that's the first thing everyone notices. Theres some many black SE's out there I use them to help people identify me.
