ES330 A/C filter change w/pics - other yrs may apply
Hello everyone, and to fellow dads 'Happy Father's Day'.
For my old man, I worked on detailing his car for 5+ hours, the whole interior and exterior bit. The last thing I did was change his a/c filter and for those who haven't seen it, this might be helpful.
Perform steps 1-6, and the last step is to put everything back together in the order you took them out.

Step #6. After this, just put everything back together reversing the steps.
By the way, purchased the filter from www.irontoad.com.

This is the same for a 2000 correct? Is this the filter you purchased http://www.irontoad.com/Merchant2/me...Store_Code=TSC I found it in Toyota general accessories. There wasn't any for Lexus ES300.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.
www.clublexus.com rules
as clearly the best lexus enthusiast stie.
superpats,
For the 2000 ES300 (same as a 1999 ES300), a cabin filter can be found on www.rockauto.com. I purchased two from there ($25 bucks each I think). It is manufactured by Wix, part #24895. Another route is ebay where I picked up the Toyota one for $27. I got lots of filters now.
For your 2000, it is a little bit harder to install. I recommend warmup stretching exercises before attempting to install because it involves kneeling down near the driver pedal. If you are out of shape, you could pull a muscle.
Also, because my car didn't come with a filter installed (Lexus, what were you thinking?), I had to figure out the correct orientation for the two pieces.
Lastly, I think there is a writeup somehere on this board that tells you how to do it. If not, or it's unclear, I will put together a writeup if desired, as I plan to check what it looks like after 10K.
