visit your local fabric store and get very loose weave fabric....for me it was a synthetic burlap.

i like it. This matches so much better than the worn out ripped fabric that used to be there

Very good idea 3rdelement. It's subtle yet pleasing to the owner's eye. How is the fabric held to the door panel? Some kind of adhesive? Did you also get fabric to cover the door speakers?

yeah its held using adhesive for headliner material. I had some around.

I didnt understand you last question? in the 96 you have these speaker grills, the tweeters(you can see as well) and then the mids up on the dash. Besides that you have the speakers in the back deck.

Sorry about the confusion, I was looking at your pics and they appear you have fabric covered over the speakers but I guess that's not the case. It's the color of the speaker grill that threw me off hehe

Oh, and thanks for answering my questions. Good job once again

You really should get acoustically transparent carpeting because other materials will block certain frequencies ranges. It is not a problem if you have the stock 6.5 midbass woofer. The people that have destroyed the stock sound stage by installing 2/3 way speakers in the door should heed this warning. Concerned listeners should acquire some acoustically transparent carpeting.
