Hmm... I'll try and get some flex pipe and also anyone can help me find a quote on how much the OEM front pipe costs?
I'll try and get some more pictures to show the gap there and hopefully it isn't bumping anything. Thanks Pheonix for the help, I'll post updates in a couple of days hopefully but I'll be gone for the weekend for a little holiday.
Edit: Diamondlex, I'll say that with the high flow front pipe, the exhaust is still very quiet at the higher RPM's and when the car is moving fast. When it's going slow at lower RPM's though, the rear muffler is pretty loud now and at idle it's pretty irritating as there's a burble now. Our cars shouldn't sound like muscle cars I think.

Bosal y-pipes suck. It's nothing but the stock pipe made with slightly larger piping. You've still got the backflow issue, and preforated plate. The two actual restrictions in the system, still in use.
In Bosal's defence... They make good headers for the S block i4's.
