Well it finally happened guys and gals (i sold the es). I want to thank everyone especially lexusk8 for making my car everything it could be. I'll be moving on to a 90's mr2 turbo and I'm planning on doing a complete engine rebuild!!! New cams, heads, pistons, rods, turbo, intercooler, the works!!! Probably putting around 320-330 to the ground
Anyways I'd like to put a few pics up for all those that helped me on my way.
Good news. I still have my wheels w/ new tires and a bra I bought from the lexus dealership (so it would be of the best quality). If anyone is interested please send me a pm.
Wheels: 18x7.5" Lm1/5s chrome luxury (waxed quite frequently)
Tires: 225 40 R18 Fusions
$1200
2000-2001 es300 Bra (Only used for highway traveling, never left on for extended periods of time)
$100
Both are in amazing condition.
Thanks a lot guys!
Ben

For that amount of work on an MR2, I would be doing the big bad 3.4L 5vz-fe twin turbos wap. Yes... You can fit the 5vz-fe in an MR2 with just enough space to cram in two small turbos.
That or single turbo 3vz-fe swap.
Personally, you need to skip the heads, and cams. Save the money for new pistons, rods, connecting hardware, and a nice ball bearing turbo. They can put down way over 350 without wasting the money on cams, and head work. Might as well spend them money for something that will have more impact.
If you really want to help the lag with using a large turbo, have want to spend money on something better than cams and heads - swap for the 5s-fe crank. That'll stroke it out from 1998cc to 2163cc (to 2.2L).
That's just my opinion.
Good buy tho. MR2's can be great at the drag strip, auto-x, or road racing without too much investment.

Thank YOU Ben for informing and enlightening us with your knowledge and the modding wonders of the ES, but sorry to hear that you have parted ways with your ride. We have thoroughly enjoyed your company, and we hope you continue to stick around here and help even us newbies sometimes
