Hi, I just registered as a new member and am excited about the new forum to get information on my car from similar Lexus Enthusiasts.
My stock radio's volume control/power **** came loose and broke. I heard it is the Ribbon Cable but my volume control doesn't work nor can I shut off my stereo(even manually without the ****)
Can someone tell me if they've had any similar situation as well as how to take the stock stereo out of the dash?
Thanks, highly appreciative.

Same thing happened to my mom (when it was her car)
Went to Lexus, they gave her a new one, even put it in for her.
To take it out, you hafta take out the ashtray, there are two screws there, maybe 4, i forget, take em out. Then slide the radio downward a little bit, pull it out. If you are tryin to do a head unit swap, you gotta custom fit a piece of plastic and make your own mounting kit and figure out the stock wiring harness...good luck, its hard. ALso, if you are doing a swap for an aftermarket, underneath the passenger seat is the factory amp, thats gotta come out too, i think...i took mine out because i put aftermarket amps in also, whatever, later...
