i had the P0401 code last year and my mechanic changed the EGR gas temp sensor to solve my cel problem. the sensor is pretty pricey about $180 for a 95ES but definitely a DIY.
After replacing one of my front O2 sensors (next to the firewall) a week ago, I had my computer reset. Not long afterwards the "Check Engine" light came back on. I just had Auto Zone check the computer and it came up with the P0401 code, which they say is an EGR flow problem.
Anyone have suggestions on where I go from here?
this is so wierd--------that's EXACTLY what just happened to my 95 ES300! I got the p1035 cel for rear 02 sensor. fixed it. EXACTLY a week later, cell on again. this time 0401 EGR.
