Default Seeking opinions - ES300 16" Platinum rims

I have an opportunity to purchase a set of ES300\Avalon 16" Platinum rims for roughly $350 (too much?). They are in great shape. Unfortunately, they have Toyota center caps which I will have to replace. I have a 94 ES. I want to replace the ugly stock wheels on my car. I know there are a lot of better looking after market rims available. However, I'm trying to be financially reasonable. I personally like these rims. I think they will make my car look a lot better and it won't break the bank per se. I won't have to lower the car, etc. These could possibly become winter wheels in the future as well.

I'm curious as to other opinions on this forum.

Thanks.

i say go for it...for 350 you can't go wrong. the platinum series wheels are pretty rare to find, not to mention if you get it in good condition. My 2000 ES comes stock with these wheels and I would never get rid of them. As for the center caps, they're about 12 bucks from lexus or so, so its not that big of a deal. If you plan on dropping the car, then the platinum wheels look awesome! Back on topic...I'd say go ahead and get them. Not too many people are willing to give up the platinum series wheels, especially for 350. can't go wrong

I have stock rims on my 98 Es300 and didn't like the gold decals on it. I found a pair of silver on silver logo ones on Ebay. If the rims are something you are interested in, it is a minor thing to change the center cap.

I picked them up. They are in next to new condition. The cost ended up being about $330 and 2 hours of driving.

Those are very nice, I like the dull finish. I am not one to keep my car clean all the time. The center caps should be easy to find, I got mine on ebay. They just snap out when changing the rim/tire.

Thanks. I'm eager to put them on. Now I just have to find a set of tires.
