why would anyone put a toyota engine into a lexus! Thats just stupid. lol!

the toyota engine isn't 100% same as a lexus engine.. sure they look different. works the same. but the Lexus engine has a few more sensor than the Camry..

The Toyota engine is 100% the same as the Lexus engine.
They both are the same engine from the same plant.
The difference is that the engines slated for the non Windom/ES do not have their oil pressure sensor installed in the block.

1mz-fe's
The same engine
From the same plant
Depending on year, the 1mz-fe's slated for the Windom/ES got the power modifications earlier (vvt) While the rest of the platform simply kept the '97 revised intake.





Guys... There is a reason why all of our engines have
Shimoyama
on the tag.
