Default Diy Help

Does anyone know how to remove and clean the idle air controller? Where it is and what do i have to do to get to it?

Cool

If you've got a VZ, the IAC it's on the firewall side right behind the throttlebody. If you an MZ, the ISC is under the throttlebody.
Just follow the bypass air hose that routes air from behind the air sensor, to right after the throttlebody.
Use whatever cleaner you want, best to clean it by hand with a tiny brush. (Whatever those little wire brushesh we all used in arts & crafts growing up.)


I'm starting to have good luck with a spray lubricant called TriFlow.

Hi, how do i know if i have a vz or mz?? my car is a 1999 and I dont have anything that tells me where it is exactly or what it looks like. Thanks

92-93 = vz

94+ = mz
