Question oil catch tank - need help

Anybody add an oil catch tank or coolant reservoir tank to their ES? I have a 97. Anybody got pics or know the size that will fit (9 or 15mm)?

An oil catch tank?

All ES models already have a coolant reservoir tank.

You might have to be more specific as to what you mean.

Here's my oil catch can.
as you could see by the hose adaptors, the dealer sent me the wrong one.
it should be 15mm, but they sent me 9mm, oh well.

I just breathe my front head & gutted the PCV valve to be a breather also.
No need for a catch can, they're crappy anyway. You either check them analy, or forget about dumping the oil out & god forbid one ever fills up. That's a hydrolock waiting to happen!

Breather / PCV oil contamination in the intake is highly over rated to begin with. Only a miniscule amount get's into the intake track, the real problem is Carbon from EGR. The stuff bakes on everything & anytime a tiny bit of fuel, oil, or water hits it it just turns to a gummy mess.

Vin nice Greddy tank! Good stuff!

It's a type of filter that prevents oil from getting back into your intake tract after being vented from the engine. It connects between the PCV valve and intake tract. As the air is vented from the engine through the PCV valve it enters the oil catch can. The material in the oil catch can traps any oil that might be present in the vented air and allows the "filtered" air back into the intake tract. This helps prevent you from burning oil in your intake charge.

hope that helps

So 15mm it is. I'm a big fan of chrome. Nothing excessive like 20's or anything, but I do like my engine bay to shine. By the way vic that is a clean setup. What kind of battery or even terminals do you have. Very unique!!!

Leets, guess you would love the fact I have no cat!
Emessions are for states with emession laws. In Alabama, you could do an imitation of a hay field on fire, so long as you are not, god forbid, driving 72.3mph on I-20 between B'ham & Atlanta.
We have these beautiful things called trees that we didn't destroy when we built up the state. Nature loves us.

Amazing what happens to a Camry when the owner is a professional car tuner/builder, and has a running tally of around $15,000having burned a hole in his bank aco**** over the last three, or four years!
