ES330 New Model Coming??
I read somewhere that there will be a newly designed ES330 introduced early next year (06).
Can anyone confirm this?
I'm ready to buy an '06 now but...if there is going to be something completely redesigned, I'm willing to wait.
Thanks

Whenever the next generation Camry shows up, is when the next ES shows up.
The 6th generation Camry is going to be new for '07, so they will avalible between mid & late '06. The new ES/Windom will, for the obvious reasons, arrive with the new Camry.
Obviously, it will look mainly like the '07 Camry will. If tradition holds up, it will have a different: front facia, tail, framless windows / non-protruding door handles, the same interior style, but with a smoother layout & vastly higher quality materials.
It will weigh 100-250lbs mostly from sound deadining / impact materials, it should have the same v6 found in the Avalon as they've been trying to phase out the MZ's for a few years now in been using ll of these "new" v6's that are popping up in the Japanese (& a few other) markets for several years now.
As the new Camry looks more aggressive to stave off Honda (& to a degree Nissan - note Nissan's small market share, but Toyota probably has taken note how generally popular their stuff is) I'll go a head and speculate that the E-153 Manual transmission will probably be avalible in small numbers to the Camry (instead of just the Camry Solara). If the Camry get's it, there might be 1/1000th of 3/7,000,000th of a percent of a chance that they might become avalible in very low numbers on the ES/Windom.
ES/Windom's will likely never see the return of the M/T option. Let's face it, no one bought them in 92-93 when they were avalible, why do they want to make more?

The selling will begin in the same quarter, at most a quarter later to build up stockpiles of them & boat them over. (However long that takes...))
Toyota will have to retool the plants new Camry.
They're not going to build 160 JDM type market gen6 Camrys by lunch, make 30 North American market gen 6 Camry's by supper then stop & retool the entire assembly line to build the gen 5 Camry platform - 80 ES's by the end of third shift & say 50 Windom's by 4am, then retool for gen 6 Camry productions all over again.\

I think Lexus will focus on one car a year: IS for 2006, LS for 2007 (to debut mid-late 2006) and possible IS coupe (to debut late 2006).
The ES will possibly be redesigned for 2008.
2008 may be a busy year: redesign for the ES, redesign for the SC (or LF-C), debut of the LF-A, possible IS convertible, and LSS super-sedan.

No later than mid next year. The ES/Windom are pimped out Camrys, built side by side with them on the same production line as the Japanese Camry chassie vehicles. They can't build new Camrys, but then turn around & build old ES/Windom's at the same time, on the same production line.
The gen6 Camry comes out in '06 for the '07 year, so the ES/Windom has to come out at the same time.
The only way the next gen ES would come out later than 4th quarter '06 is if Toyota just decided to stop all production of the ES/Windom for the '07 year. Being the bread & butter of the Lexus profit margin, that's not an option.
Noone that I have heard of has seen the next gen ES/Windom, nor does anyone I know of know much information about that, or the next gen Camry, but they are built at the same time, at the same place. When once changes, the other has too.

Camry / ES
To answer the question:
Yes, the 2007 ES will debut shortly and be available in the spring of 2006, as well as the 2007 Camry. There are plenty of threads floating around about it. Keep reading and watching, it's coming soon.
Camry & ES - Spring 2006
LS - Fall 2006
I'd wait if I were you......

Thanks for all your opinions. We've decided to wait as our '96 ES300 has only 71K miles on it and shows no signs of unusual aging. Maybe new front seat leather covers and a small A/C leak.
Thanks again...
Thanks again...
