Damn, I've been away from this board too long. Despite your hatred for Acura, the real world is still based on facts. The 6-spd Acura runs the 1/4 in the exact same time as the BMW. The only reason is doesn't beat it is due to the FWD configuration and the ****ty stock tires. From a roll, the 330ci doesn't stand a chance against a 6-spd CL. There is just more torque in the Acura and it will pull EVERY time. Add twisties and that's another story. The stock Acura is just too soft for corners (and FWD). Hate on it all you want, I'd gladly give up my '95 ES300 anyday to keep my CL. Obviously, I didn't buy the 330ci either so I guess I'm just an ignorant consumer.

Oh, and I didn't even mention the $10,000 you save over the BMW to put towards mods which will make the car even faster and handle way better (relative to stock). $2500 gets you 315hp to the wheels with a 3.5L upgrade and a 13.7 1/4 mile; $4500 gets you a Comptech supercharger which gets you into the low 13's. Mix the two together (though I've never heard of anyone doing so) and who knows...12's?? Heck put 2 superchargers on the car and still save $1000. I know, I know, it's still a Honda.

Does that surprise you?

Ignorant people don't seem to last very long around intelligent message boards like this.

Even if someone said that my ES300 was a guised up Camry, a fully loaded camry costs around $30k....if you want to say its a Camry, then you can say its a luxury camry, its like purchasing the ultra luxury package for your camry, except this package changes the shape, and puts in a lot of luxury for your package buck!

When I bought my car, I called my brother, and told him that I bought a Camry. The first thing out of his mouth was, "WHY!?" When I showed up at his house he saw it, and replied "That ain't no *********** Camry." Let people say what they want. To be honest, I used to say the same thing. Then I drove one.

Yeah, your right about that. I found out about the Passport/Rodeo thing the day after I bought ours when I pulled up next to a Rodeo at a light, and noticed the identical interiors. The "Isuzu" tag on the intake didn't turn the light on for me I guess. It's been a very solid truck though, and the 4-wheel system is one of the toughest I've seen.

One thing you forgot is that when you are dealing with a Lexus dealership or service department, you are treated like a King.
That is so true.
I stopped at a Toyota dealership one time and i told them that i had a 93 Lexus and i got service right away. There was people that was standing there waiting to get service while everyone waited on me. The one guy wanted to see my car so i took him out to see it and he was petting (no joke) my car. Then he ran in the building and had everyone that worked there look at my car. As i was pulling away they were staring out the window.
Now what would i say if someone told me that your ES300 is a "gussied up" camry. I would probably laugh at them then walk away.

Could it possibly be because they were looking at a very pretty girl rather then your car?

That's what my husband said, but i'm almost sure it was the car because he was petting it.
